We are immigrating to Canada frm IndiaWhich city is best for Jobs, living,Edmonton,Calgary,Grand prairie or ..?
Please suggest, where initial expenses will be less, because as we got to know that in Canada people don't recognized other countries degrees, so we have to study again any small courses and to do some part time work, is it true, I have done MBA from New Delhi and my wife done B.Tec. from Punjab India, I am working as Manager in telecom sales & marketing of telecom services and my wife is in teaching line working as lecturer in engineering college teaching C,C++,Java etc. I am 31 years and she is 27 years old. I have heard that housing is expensive in Calgary, what about small & growing cities in Alberta like Grand Prairie , any other suggesion....Thanks

- Alberta is good as far as I hear.
- It's far to cold in Canada....Try New Yok in America!
- I live in Southern Ontario , within an hour of Toronto and many times you will be able to use your foreign training here. I have met more than a few from India using their training from india. (I have worked with them) Do not listen to the comment about Canada being too cold, there are many times we have nicer weather than New York.
- hi i live in edmonton we need lots of people to fill jobs all kinds you can do soo much here and lots of companys will put you through school.....it is hard to find a place to live anywhere in alberta but there are lots of small towns that are out side of big citys you can live and work i suggest niskui it is in between edmonton and leduc then you have lots of place to look to live and niskui has many many jobs edmonton has lots todo to we have a huge mall some say biggest in the world ......welcome to canada when you come and it is true we are nice folks.....
- Many people from India Come to Surrey BC Part of Vancouver
- Anywhere in Alberta, including the smaller cities, but especially Calgary, Edmonton and Fort Mcmurray have all kinds of jobs. The downfall for you may be that there is only small ( but growing ) indian communities in these places. Vancouver and Toronto have very large indo-canadian populations and their economies although not as strong as in Alberta are still very good. As far as housing cost, if you are going to live in any of the 5 cities i mentioned above it will be expensive, the difference is in how hard it is to find a place, in calgary, edmonton and fort mcmurray it will be difficult to find a good place ( not impossible - just difficult ) whereas in places like Toronto and Vancouver it would likely be a little easier ( but not simple )
- If your French speaking ability was flawless I'd suggest any large community along the Fleuve St. Laurent, Quebec. If not I'm afraid the well is poisoned least in Alberta and British Columbia. This perspective is based on regional economic watersheds for India points of origin.
